Nice site, basic facilities open early April. Arrived in cold wet weather and were able to lock bikes away under cover. Helpful owners
Lovely campground on the banks of the Loire. It rained most of the time we were here and I guess that gives a bias. I would mention however, that because of possible flooding there are sixteen concrete steps up to the sanitary blocks.
Anyone with mobility issues may find this problematic. Roads tarmacked, but very narrow meaning that corners get churned up. Small village with market on Tuesday mornings. Keep away from bridge as there is some noise.
Bike touring. Due to rain we rented a canvas tent with a view of the river. Nice kitchen shelter with hot plate and fridge. Hot showers, free wifi is only at office. Owner will bring your croissants by bike in the morning.
Great base to explore the loire. Very friendly and some cool different types of accommodation available.
Gennes also get 5*, even has a 24 hour pizza vending machine
Probably the nicest and friendliest campsite I stayed at during my Loire Du Velo trip! Great facilities too.
Highly recommend :)
Very cool campsite, we stayed in a tent with the river view. Great service, there was saucisson sale from a kind lady and wine tasting in the afternoon. Only downside: take your own toilet paper.
The owner and staff really helpful and nice 👍👍 👍👍 we found the prices to be perfect
Very nice camping here 😁 nice walks by the river Loire 👍 and friendly staff 🇫🇷 …
We spent 4 nights at this campsite, with 4 persons, in two tents plus a big tarp. Only left to flee an upcoming heatwave (40 degrees+, according to the weather forecast) towards the end of july. Would have stayed longer otherwise.
Spacious plots, more than big enough for all our gear, well kept, with trees to provide some shadow. Located on the banks of the Loire, welcoming and visited by many cyclists for one-night stops. Good basis for visiting the western Loire castles (Saumur, etc.).
Toilets/showers etc. are clean and functional. The local baker does his round every morning with fresh bread and viennoiserie. Local wines and other drinks available on site.
Nice, helpful staff, and importantly: no animations (who needs these anyway?).
Will certainly visit again. As one of the other campers told me: "This is a campsite the way they are meant to be". Couldn't agree more.
